This week I’ll give you guys a look into the best trip I’ve had the pleasure of going on. Though this trip isn’t recent nor is it in middle America, I guarantee you it’s worth a share. Let’s go ahead and look at this amazing dream vacation!

When my wife and I first got married, we knew we would rather have an extravagant honeymoon versus a massive wedding. As newlyweds, we were amidst a major move, taking us literally halfway across the country. With all the uncertainty during the move, we knew one thing had to happen. That would turn out to be the best trip either of us had ever experienced. This would be at the western most part of the United States, on the Hawaiin island of Kaua'i.

Kaua’i

To start, Kaua’i offers a breathtaking tapestry of natural beauty and exciting activities. You could begin by exploring the Na Pali Coast, a mesmerizing stretch of towering cliffs and emerald valleys. Another option is to hike the Kalalau Trail for stunning vistas or take a helicopter tour for a bird’s-eye view. You can even book a nice afternoon coastal cruise. This option allows for the unique opportunity to see an amazing landscape and do some impromptu whale watching.

Exploring the natural beauty.

For a more tranquil experience, you can visit Waimea Canyon. We enjoyed this location for its natural beauty as it is often dubbed the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific.” The vibrant red and green hues of this geological wonder are best appreciated from various lookout points. You can also enjoy the lush location on a number of hiking trails like the Canyon Trail.

Gorgeous Beaches

Additionally, Kauai’s beaches are diverse and inviting. For example, you could easily relax on Poipu Beach, renowned for its golden sands and gentle waves. This location is perfect for swimming and snorkeling along with catching the sights of sunbathing sea turtles. On the North Shore, witness the dramatic beauty of Hanalei Bay with its crescent-shaped shore and lush surroundings.

Natural Sights

Furthermore, immerse yourself in Kauai’s lush interior by exploring the Fern Grotto. This is a natural lava rock amphitheater covered in ferns. Additionally, there is also a riverboat cruise to this hidden gem. Here you can enjoy Hawaiian music echoing through the grotto.

Adventure Options

If you’re seeking adventure, you will relish in the amazing opportunities available on this island paradise. To start, you have the options to drive ATVs through the trails, hike to hidden waterfalls, or zipline through the lush canopy. Our personal favorite were the ATVs. This adventure took us to several locations that were featured in movies such as Jurassic Park. The beautiful landscapes are absolutely awe inspiring.

One of the most unique experiences that we were able to enjoy was the Luau Kalamaku. This visually astounding show told a beautiful story about the heritage and culture of the island. To say my wife and I were impressed by the performers would be an understatement.

On top of that, Kaua’i features a number of breathtaking resorts that offer some very posh amenities. There was beautiful beach side dining coupled with absolutely gorgeous views of whales swimming past. We were also lucky enough to record a sunrise that we will always remember. Afterwards, we enjoyed a stunning sunset where the sky was filled with such vibrant colors.

In conclusion, the essence of Kaua’i beckons with its unique blend of natural wonders, adventurous escapades, and serene relaxation. This is an island paradise that caters to every traveler’s desires. We highly recommend this island getaway as a destination.
